Date:

Number of Students: 7

Length:

Topic: Unit
1: How are you?
|
b. Brief narrative or description of the speaking lesson
This was my first speaking session with group A, in fact
it was my first session of the Pedagogical Experience II. At the beginning of
the lesson I was very scared because it was the first time I taught online but
I was taking it very naturally with the minutes.
c. How successful were activities and materials??
I think that to be the
first activity that I designed for this type of meeting, the students were very
receptive and participative in each of the activities and moments of the
speaking session.
d. What departures did you make from the original lesson
plan??
As it was my first activity, I
followed the lesson plan I had designed to the letter, I could not get the 90
minutes that were required because I finished the lesson and I did not know
what else to do.
e. What difficulties did learners experience in different
stages of the lesson??
Several of the students do not
handle almost the English language, do not understand more than words and that
causes them to get lost and ramble during the session. I have recommended them
to practice much more as long as they can.
f. What aspects of the lesson did you feel were particularly
successful??
The interaction with the
students was generally very good. They were very happy to be able to do this
kind of activities and they manifested it constantly during the speaking
session.
g. What aspects of the lesson did not work particularly
well?? Why??
The first thing was that I did not
know how to handle the students who did not speak the language at all. The
second thing is that I did not know what to do when the material was finished
and barely took 82 minutes.
h. What aspects of the les son should be done differently next
time??
No doubt I must have some exits
for when I finish the material and the time of the speaking session has not yet
finished. I think I have to practice much more the interaction with the
students so they can talk more and practice.
GROUP B
a. Identification of the Speaking Session

|
Date:
16/11/2017
|
Number of Students: 6
|
Length: 1:34:41
|
Topic: Unit 11: Did you do the homework
|
b. Brief narrative or description of the speaking lesson
This lesson is about unit 11 of the reference document of
the Basic English I course. The ways of the past are studied so that students
can narrate previous events.
c. How successful were activities and materials??
I think they were very successful,
the students are always very comfortable with the materials that are presented
to them and they show great interest in participating in each of the speaking
sessions.
d. What departures did you make from the original lesson
plan??
I usually try to follow the lesson
plan very carefully to manage the times and thus be able to fulfill each of the
objectives, however, I asked some students about their places of origin to
encourage them to talk a little more.
e. What difficulties did learners experience in different
stages of the lesson??
This group is composed of people
who handle the language very well, in fact I believe that there are people who
should not be in Basic English I because they have a very advanced level. For
example, we have a student who lives in Canada and speaks it perfectly.
f. What aspects of the lesson did you feel were particularly
successful??
When I put the students to
interact with each other, the conversation was very pleasant and they felt very
comfortable doing the exercises and activities.
g. What aspects of the lesson did not work particularly
well?? Why??
I think there are some
problems with the Internet connection of some of the students, so communication
does not become very effective at times. However, it can be solved at the
moment and the activity is carried out properly.
h. What aspects of the les son should be done differently
next time??
I consider that I have to do more
interactions among the students because sometimes they only talk to me and I
have found that they feel very comfortable talking to each other.
